Artist Statement -
My current work explores figurative discipline interspersed with
semi-abstract, in drawing, painting and collage. I strive to maintain
pleasure in working at a deliberate 'instinctual' level, represented by
the primitive properties of charcoal, being 'dirty' and hand contact by
rubbing and exposing the underlaying marks and chance.
Brush marks however are the challenge...
